Where listings come from
has a source.
not assumed.
Some listing details come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Imported records keep their OpenStreetMap ID, when the record was last edited there and when we imported it.
OpenStreetMap tells us a business was mapped — not whether it is open, accepting orders or has capacity. Owners can claim a listing and confirm or correct details; owner-confirmed details are labelled and are not overwritten by later imports.
Place search (areas, estates, streets, landmarks, junctions, stages and named buildings such as apartments) uses OpenStreetMap place, street and building records, a small curated list of approximate neighbourhood centres, and community suggestions that we review first. A building is used only as a search location — never counted as a business. When OpenStreetMap maps a building’s entrance we search from it; otherwise we say the position is approximate. Many apartments aren’t mapped yet; you can search from a map pin instead, or suggest the building. We don’t use any other geocoding provider.
